Port
Ludlow residents have finger-tip access to an amazing variety of local
information resources -- both on paper and online. Some of the
resulting redundancy is welcome, some is confusing and annoying. The
major sites are listed below. They show that some coordination has
already taken place, more may be forthcoming, and some may be
unnecessary and unwelcome in view of the fact that all of these efforts
are accomplished by volunteers.
PORT LUDLOW VOICE (On paper & in
pdf format with online updates)
"The Mission of the Port Ludlow Voice is to inform its readers
of events and activities within the Village,

"After much deliberation the Voice has developed its own website where
you can catch breaking news, submit and read letters to the editor,
contribute photos, check out local activities and, of course, read the
Voice. The site will be far expanded from what was previously available
online. If there’s breaking news, you’ll find it on our “Home”
page....." (Voice, Nov 09, p.2)

County loses
appeal of ‘arbitrary, capricious’ suit
By Allison Arthur, Port Townsend Leader, Dec.22, 2010
Iron Mountain Quarry has won another skirmish in a land-use battle over
the Issaquah-based company’s request to blast for hard rock near Port
Ludlow. A state Court of Appeals commissioner on Dec. 13 denied a
Jefferson County request to review Kitsap County Superior Court Judge
Anna M. Laurie’s decision that sided with the mining company and found
the county’s initial decision to require an environmental impact
statement ( EIS) from the mining company “arbitrary and capricious.”
